I AM CONSISTENT

I am consistent with my kindness, love, empathy, friendship, work ethic, focus, and the daily steps I take to achieve my goals. Consistency can look different for everyone. If you consistently get out of bed every day, you are winning!

Recently, I was very sick, and I am in the process of rebuilding. What has been lacking, has been consistency, which has been a challenge, since I thrive on consistency. Every day has looked different, which made getting out of bed every day hard. So, once I started regaining my physical strength, I started adding some consistency. Now, my days start the same way every day:

  • 20 minutes of yoga. Every morning, I start my day with 20 minutes of slow-flow yoga to get my body moving.

  • 30+ minutes of cardio (running or peloton). This has been looking more like 45 minutes of cardio, as I get stronger.

  • Outside time. Rain or shine, I get outside every day. This can look like a walk around the block, playing with my kids at the park, or a 30+ minute walk. But, no matter what the weather is doing, I get fresh air every single day.

  • Daily affirmations - I choose one affirmation daily to take with me through the day (today is I AM CONSISTENT)

  • Cold shower. At the end of my shower, I flip the temp to COLD and let the cold water run over me. Every day I add a few more seconds. I practice my breathing. Interested in cold therapy? I HIGHLY recommend reading Wim Hof Method. It's an incredible book!

So, every single day, I am clocking about 80-100 minutes of activity, and I build the rest of my day around this. This movement is the most important part of my day. And this consistency is helping me build consistency in other parts of my life, and the consistency is helping me feel accomplished.

I AM CONSISTENT.
